For more than 40 years, La Frontera Arizona (LFA) has been committed to working collaboratively with our public and private partners to solve community problems. We have clinics, residential treatment centers, group homes, apartment complexes, inpatient and outpatient facilities, and offices in multiple communities around the state. We are dedicated to helping people cope with a variety of issues in the areas of mental health and substance use, housing, family/children’s services, employment, and crisis intervention. Community and cultural education is also an important component of our service array. Our mission is to provide innovative solutions to complex problems while working with community partners to build a safe, strong, and healthy Arizona. We are able to accomplish this mission because of the more than 850 experienced and caring professionals on our staff. In October 2011, La Paloma Family Services joined the La Frontera Arizona family. La Frontera Center had previously subcontracted with La Paloma Family Services for the provision of children’s services, so the union of the two community-based nonprofit behavioral health agencies under the La Frontera Arizona umbrella was mutually beneficial. La Paloma Family Services continues to operate as a separate company and retains its name, but all employees work for La Frontera Arizona. La Paloma Family Services Since its inception in 1980, La Paloma Family Services has provided shelter, counseling, guidance, and assistance to Arizona’s at-risk children. We strive to provide solutions for children facing life's greatest challenges, including abuse, neglect, and abandonment. La Paloma is one of the leading nonprofit family service agencies in Southern Arizona because of our longevity, effectiveness, relevance, reliability, and presence. Every year, hundreds of children come to La Paloma at all hours of the day and night to find comfort and support after being removed from their homes. Typically they arrive with few or no personal belongings, and each child’s immediate physical and emotional needs have to be quickly assessed and met. Some need a shower, some need clothing, and others need someone to hold them through their sadness. La Paloma Family Services offers a variety of services to help children and families:
Our mission is to partner with the community to support children and families in developing skills and providing opportunities for success.
